Overview
We are reviewing the training and competency requirements for the following Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program activities, in response to stakeholder feedback:
- double glazed windows activity (activity 13)
- thermally efficient window products (activity 14).
Consultation scope
We are seeking feedback from accredited persons, scheme participants (e.g. installers) and other relevant parties (e.g. industry associations) on proposed revised training and competency requirements, and guidance for these VEU activities.
We will use this feedback to finalise our training and competency requirements and guidance to:
- align with industry best practice
- strike the right balance between managing safety risks, protecting the integrity of the program and the compliance burden on participating businesses.
Accredited persons and scheme participants will need to comply with program requirements once finalised. The requirements will be published in the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Guidelines (VEET Guidelines) and the Space Conditioning and Shower Rose Activity Guide available on our website.
